Privacy Policy
This page describes what Dance Class Builder collects, how it is used, and your options. We may update this policy from time to time as the product evolves.
What we collect
Your email address. Required to sign in and to receive a sign-in code.
Your class plans. This includes titles, blocks, notes, combinations, music and video links, playlist URLs, and class details such as date, time, duration, level, style, and focus.
Payment identifiers. After a successful payment, we store your Stripe customer ID and subscription identifier to manage your membership access. We do not store full card or payment method details.
Session data. Authentication cookies used to keep you signed in, managed by Supabase Auth.
Free guide and resource requests. If you request a free guide or resource, we collect your email address to provide the resource and to understand interest in Dance Class Builder resources.
How we use it
- Your email is used to send sign-in codes and manage your account.
- Your class plan content is used to save, display, and restore your plans.
- Limited plan-content data may be used internally to improve skill detection.
- Payment identifiers are used to verify and manage your membership access.
- Session data is used to keep you signed in between visits.
- If you requested a free guide or resource, your email address is used to record that request and understand interest in Dance Class Builder resources.
Your class plans and teaching content
Your class plans - including your notes, combinations, music and video links, and other teaching content - are private by default. We do not share your plan content with other members, publish it publicly, or use it to train AI models.
Your plans are available to you when you are signed in and are not visible to other users. Dance Class Builder may access plan content when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, or improve the service, including improving skill detection. We do not share this content with other members or publish it publicly.
Authentication and sign-in codes
We use email-based sign-in. When you request a sign-in code, it is sent to your email address by our email provider, Resend. We use your email address for authentication and account management.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number or payment method details - Stripe handles all payment processing directly. After a successful payment, we store your Stripe customer ID and subscription identifier in our database to manage your membership access. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.
Service providers
Supabase - authentication and database infrastructure.
Stripe - payment processing.
Resend - email delivery for sign-in codes.
Vercel - application hosting.
Cookies and session data
We use session cookies to keep you signed in. These are managed by Supabase Auth. We also use a short-lived cookie to carry your email between the payment confirmation page and the sign-in page - this cookie expires within 3 minutes and is cleared automatically after use. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
Data retention and deletion
Your account data and class plans are retained while your account is active. If you would like to request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at support@danceclassbuilder.thedanceindex.com. We do not currently have a self-service account deletion flow. Deletion requests are handled manually.
